Tajikistan suggests single list of extremist and terrorist organizations for CIS
MINSK, 15 October (BelTA) – The CIS needs a single list of extremist and terrorist organizations, Tajikistan President Emomali Rahmon said as he spoke at a meeting of the CIS Council of Heads of State on 15 October, BelTA has learned.
The Tajikistan president stressed that it is important for the CIS countries to continue cooperating to ensure regional security and to counter terrorism and extremism in all their manifestations.
“We are also concerned about the activities of a number of organizations banned in our countries, which use the international and regional organizations to justify their illegal actions. In this regard, we hope that the idea proposed by Tajikistan to draw up a single list of terrorist and extremist organizations banned in the territory of the CIS participating states will be implemented by joint efforts,” Emomali Rahmon said.
