Investigators responding to bomb threats all over Belarus

MINSK, 1 October (BelTA) – Investigators all over the country today are acting on information about explosive devices planted in buildings, the Investigative Committee of Belarus told BelTA.
According to the source, heads of many state organizations and enterprises received email letters informing them that bombs had been planted in buildings. Bomb disposal units are sweeping the buildings and investigators are working at the sites of the incidents. Legal evaluations will be produced as a result of the work.
The first few examinations revealed no explosive devices.
The Investigative Committee of Belarus noted that the number of crimes in the sphere of electronic terrorism has skyrocketed recently. Over 100 facts were registered in 2020. The number exceeded 130 in H1 2021. Tips about bombs are usually sent ahead of significant state events.
