Implementation of Belarus president’s instructions to be checked
MINSK, 1 October (BelTA) – There is a need to look into the status of implementation of the president’s instructions by government bodies, Belarusian President Aleksandr Lukashenko said as he met with senior officials of the Belarus President Administration, BelTA has learned.
Aleksandr Lukashenko stressed that communication with the public, assistance with solving their problems with which they address authorities should be under special control. So should be the fulfillment of the president’s instructions.
The head of state informed that he will soon order an inspection into the status of implementation of his instructions by the government, the President Administration and the State Control Committee.
“Learn to demand performance discipline from your subordinates. What the head of the President Administration, the deputy instruct you to do needs to be done without delay… In Soviet times, when we had the ruling Communist Party, a call with some criticism from the Communist Party regional committee (let alone the Central Committee, and your status is comparable to that of the then Central Committee) would send shock waves through the region,” Aleksandr Lukashenko said.
“The deputy head of the President Administration was comparable in status to the secretary of the Central Committee. You can ask Vladimir Andreichenko [Parliament speaker]. He has some stories to tell. Meanwhile, in our time they would consider it ok to shelve a president’s instruction for some time. This will not happen anymore. Everything must be done in time!” the head of state emphasized.
