MINSK, 30 September (BelTA) – Belarusian MPs will continue defending the national interests of the country in the international arena, Chairman of the House of Representatives of the National Assembly of Belarus Vladimir Andreichenko said at a meeting of the Council of the House of Representatives, BelTA has learned.
“As for our international activities, we will continue defending the national interests of the country both on international platforms and within bilateral inter-parliamentary cooperation. Meetings of the commissions of the CIS Inter-Parliamentary Assembly and the Parliamentary Assembly of the Collective Security Treaty Organization are scheduled for October,” said Vladimir Andreichenko.

“Implementing the president’s instruction to intensify work on cooperation with faraway countries, we plan to host our counterparts from Venezuela and Indonesia in the House of Representatives in October. Members of the working group of the National Assembly of the Republic of Belarus for cooperation with the Parliament of the Republic of Turkey are going to visit Turkey. Fruitful contacts continue with the partners from the People’s Republic of China. MPs will also take part in the international observation of the presidential election in the Republic of Uzbekistan (late October) and the parliamentary elections in Kyrgyzstan (late November),” Vladimir Andreichenko added.
